The Village of Dunning

Dunning is a small picturesque village in the heart of Perthshire. Come to a place where the air is clean and fresh and find peace and tranquillity far away from the hustle and bustle of the cities. Enjoy a night or a weekend in a small village hotel and experience the traditional village hospitality and a friendly warm welcome. Use Dunning as a base to explore rural Perthshire or simply spend a few days in total relaxation. The choice is entirely yours. Either way, the staff at the Dunning Hotel will be at your service for the duration of your stay.

The Bedrooms

Our relaxing single, twin and family bedrooms are all attractively decorated and well furnished and have:

either en-suite facilities or have an adjacent bath/shower room
tea and coffee making facilities
colour television

Three of the rooms, at present, have en-suite facilities

Smoking is NOT permitted in the bedrooms.

Block bookings

This accommodation is ideal for walking, golfing or fishing parties etc. as special rates can be negotiated for groups of over 8 persons. Parties of up to 12 people can be accommodated and rates are very reasonable.

We have a 6-seater people-carrier and would be quite happy , at a reasonable additional cost, to drive small parties of guests to and from various locations in the area. We can also arrange to collect and return parties from/to Glasgow and Edinburgh, which are both approx. 40 minutes drive from the Hotel. Please let us know when making your reservation if you would like to avail yourselves of this service.

The Snug Lounge/Dining Room

Breakfasts are served in our Snug Lounge/Dining Room. Bar Meals are served in the Main Bar or in the Snug Lounge/Dining Room.

Breakfast can either be traditional Scottish or continental as required and can be ordered and served individually at any time between 07:30 hrs and 10:00 hrs.

The Restaurant

Dinner is usually served in the comfortable surroundings of our recently refurbished Restaurant where the fare is complimented by attentive service and the available selection of wines or, depending on the availability of tables, you may choose to eat in the less formal and relative tranquillity of our Snug Lounge/Dining Room.

After Dinner Activities

After dinner, you may choose to relax in our private residents' lounge, which has Colour TV and coffee making facilities or join the locals in the Main Bar which offers a lively atmosphere, the opportunity to get to know the villagers of Dunning and perhaps the chance to show off your prowess on the green baize with a frame or two of pool in the games room.
